The Dating Scams We Have All Pulled

About two weeks later, I was having drinks with a big group of people, and C, a woman who wasn’t very close with A, and barely knew B, turned to me and said “I can’t believe you slept with B. I don’t think she’s attractive at all!”

My policy since then is ‘What happens between me and X, stays between me and X.’ Yeah, I’ll talk about MY sex life, but only if there’s no chance that you’ll know WHO I’m talking about. ‘Cuz you’re never gonna hear squat from me about anybody else, current, former, or future.

@AncientMariner: Did A or B tell C (I feel like that was a riddle), or did she hear it through the grapevine? I see where you’re coming from, and I’m with Meredith in that I NEVER show PDA around my friends and only share very few, vague details with my friends when drunk (but share it all to strangers on the internet), but something like that is definitely something I would tell my friends. I would tell very few of them, but it’d be more as a get-it-off-my-chest thing, maybe to ask advice and receive consolation. I see why things like that should stay in a relationship, but at the same time my friends are my backbone and I rely on them for almost all of my outside emotional support. Then again, I’m only nineteen, so I feel like that will probably change as I age.

AND, my friends aren’t the type who would tell anyone, so I wouldn’t have to worry about a stranger at a bar approaching my boyfriend and blabbing to him.
